Ok we lost, most teams will lose at Anfield. However, there are some issues I think needs addressing NOW.
First, I personally think it’s time to start playing others and building for the future. It’s time to stop analysing why players are out of form and start dropping those players.
RB is a huge problem and for me, get Foyth in there until we get a proper RB. It will get Foyth minutes and if he makes mistakes so be it. KWP isn’t up to the task and Aurier is a liability. LB start Davies or Sess. Rose isn’t going to get better and he is not going to be at the club. May as well give Sess minutes and again if he makes mistakes so be it. Davies can share that role.
Drop Eriksen, he has been poor for so long. He never beats first man at all with corners or free kicks and his overall play is poor. Get Lo Celso on or bring Moura or Lamela in but keep Eriksen on the bench. Shame Lamela got a knock.
I still think midfield is not working. Not sure how to solve that one as we are conceding too many chances and goals. It’s time to start playing those who are staying and dropping those who are under performing.
Hopefully Lamela is back for next game and he brings some energy and some bite to the attack. Son needs to start scoring, can’t fault his effort, but he is inconsistent. Dele needs to improve but I think it’s the full back and midfield positions that are the problem.
Creativity is not great. Clinical finishing isn’t consistent and protecting the back line is poor.
